Terms of Service
Contents
These terms cover your use of SVNL: SVNL Studio's game servers, the SVNL Discord, this website (svnlstudio.com.au) and your website account. Right now SVNL runs one game server, for FiveM. Section 6 has the terms that apply to each game.
SVNL is run from Australia by its owner THRSTXN and co-owner Wings, under the trading name SVNL Studio. In these terms, "SVNL", "we" and "us" mean SVNL Studio, and "you" means the person using SVNL.
These terms work together with the Code of Conduct and the Privacy Policy.
How you accept these terms
Links to these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Code of Conduct are posted in the SVNL Discord's verification channel and in a general channel. To verify in the Discord, you have to agree to all three.
To play on the FiveM server, you must be a verified member of the SVNL Discord, so everyone who plays has agreed to these documents.
When you create a website account, we ask you to accept all three documents, and we record which version you accepted and when.
If you don't agree, don't use SVNL.
1. Who can use SVNL
You must be 18 or older to join the SVNL Discord, create a website account or play on the FiveM server. Section 6 sets out any other requirements for each game.
You can't use SVNL while you're banned, and you can't create a new account to get around a ban.
2. Your account
- One account per person. Don't share your account or use anyone else's.
- Use an email address you control. We send account emails to it.
- Use a password you don't use anywhere else.
- Keep two-factor authentication (2FA) set up in your authenticator app, and keep your recovery codes somewhere safe. If you lose your authenticator and your recovery codes, we may not be able to get you back into your account.
- You're responsible for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has access, change your password and email support@svnlstudio.com.au straight away.
We can lock or suspend an account to protect it or SVNL, for example if it looks like it has been compromised.
3. Linking accounts
You can link your Discord account to your SVNL website account. For the FiveM server, you can also link your Cfx.re (FiveM forum) account. Once they're linked, the site can show your own FiveM characters and stats: character names, jobs, job levels and promotions, and when you were last seen.
- Only link accounts that are yours.
- Discord's and Cfx.re's own terms apply to those accounts.
- You can unlink either account at any time in account settings on the website. If you unlink, the site may no longer be able to show your characters and stats.
4. Acceptable use
Follow the Code of Conduct everywhere on SVNL. You also must not:
- access, or try to access, accounts, data or staff areas you aren't authorised to use
- get around security measures, rate limits or bot checks such as Cloudflare Turnstile
- use bots or scripts to create accounts or collect data from the site
- attack, overload or test the website or our game servers for weaknesses
- upload or send malicious code
- copy, leak, sell or redistribute SVNL's server files, scripts or assets
- use SVNL to break the law
If you come across a security problem, don't use it. Report it privately to support@svnlstudio.com.au.
5. Other platforms' terms
SVNL runs on other companies' platforms, so their terms apply too. Everywhere on SVNL, that includes Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Each game also has its own platform terms, listed in section 6.
If one of those services bans or suspends you, you may not be able to use SVNL, or the part of SVNL that runs on that service.
6. Game-specific terms
Each SVNL game server has its own part of this section. Right now that's the FiveM server.
6.1 FiveM server
- To play, you need your own legitimate copy of GTA V and FiveM, and you must be a verified member of the SVNL Discord.
- You must follow Cfx.re's terms for FiveM and Rockstar Games' terms for GTA V.
- Grand Theft Auto, GTA V and their names, logos and content belong to Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive. FiveM and Cfx.re belong to their owners.
- The roleplay rules for the FiveM server are in the FiveM server rules, which sit alongside the Code of Conduct.
7. The service is provided as is
We provide SVNL as is and as available. Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (section 12):
- We don't promise that the website or our game servers will always be online or free of errors. They can go down for updates, maintenance, crashes or problems with our providers.
- We can change, add or remove features, jobs, items, scripts and rules at any time.
- We can reset, roll back or wipe in-game data, for example to fix bugs, undo exploits or rebalance the economy.
- We can close a game server, or the website. Section 9 explains what happens to subscriptions if we do.
8. In-game items and money
In-game money, items, vehicles, characters, jobs and progress in any SVNL game are part of that game. They aren't real money or property, they have no real-world value, and you don't own them. While you follow these terms, we give you a personal permission to use them on SVNL. You can't transfer that permission, and we can withdraw it.
- You can't sell, buy or trade in-game items, money or characters for real money or anything else outside the game.
- We can change, remove or reset in-game items and money at any time, including when enforcing the rules.
- Businesses are covered too. Owning a business in game means you run it in the game. It isn't real-world property.
If your subscription gives you perks in game, this section applies to those perks too. Section 9 covers the subscription itself.
9. Subscription through Tebex
This section applies once the SVNL store is available.
The only thing SVNL sells is a monthly subscription, sold through Tebex, a separate service. You buy, manage and pay for it on Tebex, and Tebex's terms and privacy policy apply. The SVNL website doesn't collect or store your payment details.
Renewal and cancelling
- Your subscription renews automatically every month, and you're charged each time it renews, until you cancel.
- Before you pay, the Tebex checkout shows you the price, the billing period, how renewal works and how to cancel.
- You can cancel at any time through Tebex or your payment provider. Your perks stay until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- We don't give refunds or partial refunds, including for unused time, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires a remedy.
Perks
- The current SVNLRP+ perks, and what each one includes, are listed on the SVNL store page. Right now they include extra character slots, queue priority, early access to a supporter-only server, an SVNLRP+ dealership and store in game, business ownership, custom licence plates and phone numbers, Discord roles and tags, and suggesting features and songs.
- Some perks need staff review before they're applied, such as custom licence plates and song suggestions. Staff can turn a request down, and a plate or phone number has to be unique.
- Perks can change. We may adjust them, for example to follow Cfx.re's or Rockstar Games' rules, to comply with the law or to keep a game balanced. We'll announce perk changes on this site and in the Discord.
- A subscription doesn't get you special treatment from staff or protect you from the rules.
Bans
- If you get a ban longer than 30 days, including a permanent ban, we cancel your subscription automatically so you aren't charged again. We don't refund the current period, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires a remedy.
- A ban of 30 days or less doesn't cancel your subscription. You can't use your perks while you're banned, and you can cancel yourself at any time.
When your subscription ends
This applies whether you cancel, a renewal doesn't go through, or we cancel your subscription because of a ban longer than 30 days. Once the period you've paid for runs out:
- Your custom phone number stays yours.
- Characters you've already made stay playable, but you can't make new ones past the free limit.
- Vehicles you bought at the SVNLRP+ dealership stay yours.
- Items you bought at the SVNLRP+ store stay in your inventory, but you can't buy more.
- Custom licence plates already on your vehicles stay. Plate tokens you haven't used expire.
- A business you own is handled as set out in the next part of this section.
- Everything else stops, including queue priority, the supporter-only server, SVNLRP+ Discord roles and tags, feature and song suggestions, and access to the SVNLRP+ dealership and store. If you subscribe again later, queue priority starts again from the first month.
Businesses on the FiveM server
Only SVNLRP+ members can own a business on the FiveM server. If your subscription ends for any reason, including when we cancel it because of a ban longer than 30 days, what happens to your business depends on its size. Rule 8.3 of the FiveM server rules sets this out:
- If you own a small store, such as a 24/7 or an LTD, we warn you and give you 2 days to renew. You can contact staff to ask for more time.
- For a bigger city business, such as a mechanic, staff decide. Usually you're removed as the owner and the business is shut down for a while.
If a ban of 30 days or less stops you using your perks, you keep your business, but you can't run it until the ban ends.
If SVNL closes or a perk is removed
If we permanently close SVNL or the game server your perks are for, we'll cancel the affected subscriptions so nobody is charged again. If we permanently remove a perk, we'll announce it as set out under Perks, and you can cancel at any time if the subscription is no longer worth it to you. Either way, we won't refund the current period, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires a remedy.
Billing problems and chargebacks
- If you see a billing mistake or a payment you didn't make, contact us first in the SVNL Discord or at support@svnlstudio.com.au, and we'll look into it. A genuine billing problem or unauthorised payment won't lead to a ban.
- If we suspect a chargeback or payment dispute is fraudulent or abusive, staff review it before taking any action.
- If we confirm that a chargeback was fraudulent, we ban the account involved. You can appeal that ban like any other, using the process in the Code of Conduct.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If you think you're entitled to a remedy, email support@svnlstudio.com.au.
10. Bans and closing your account
Staff can warn, kick or ban you under the Code of Conduct. A ban can cover a game server, the Discord, your website account or all of them. You can appeal using the process in the Code of Conduct.
We can also suspend or close your account if you break these terms or the Code of Conduct, if the law requires it, or if your account puts other people or SVNL at risk. If you're banned, you lose access to your characters, items and anything else tied to the ban. Section 9 explains what a ban means for a subscription.
You can stop using SVNL at any time. You can close your website account on the website, and it stops working straight away. Closing it on its own doesn't delete your in-game data. When you close it, you can also ask for all your data, in and out of game, to be deleted. The "Closing your account and deleting all your data" section of the Privacy Policy explains how and lists what we keep.
Sections 8, 9, 11, 12 and 14 still apply after your account is closed or you're banned, including to settle any payments, cancellations, refunds or disputes.
11. Intellectual property
The SVNL name and branding, this website and SVNL's own server content belong to SVNL Studio or the people who made them. Some content on our servers is used under licence from other creators. Don't copy, leak, sell or redistribute any of it without our written permission.
SVNL is not approved, sponsored or endorsed by Rockstar Games. SVNL Studio isn't affiliated with Cfx.re, Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. You can contact the people who run SVNL at support@svnlstudio.com.au. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Section 6 says who owns each game we run a server for.
12. Australian Consumer Law and our liability
Under the Australian Consumer Law and other laws, you may have guarantees, rights and remedies that can't be excluded or limited by contract. For example, if you pay for a subscription, the service has to be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights. If anything here conflicts with them, they take priority.
In-game losses
In our games, characters lose money and items through normal play, such as being robbed, dying or making a bad deal. Staff can also remove them when enforcing the rules, and we sometimes wipe, reset or roll back data to fix bugs, undo exploits or rebalance the economy. If you own a business as an SVNLRP+ perk, you can also lose it, or have it shut down, when your subscription ends (section 9). We don't compensate for losses like these, because they're part of how the games work. This doesn't affect any remedy the Australian Consumer Law gives you, for example if a service you paid for isn't provided as it should be.
Indirect loss
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Services run by others
Discord, Cfx.re, Rockstar Games, Tebex, Cloudflare, Resend and RocketNode are run by other companies. We aren't responsible for how they run their services, or for their own outages and decisions. Using them doesn't reduce our own obligations to you under these terms or the law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For material changes, we'll post a notice on this site at least 14 days before they take effect.
If you keep using SVNL after a change takes effect, the new terms apply to you. If you don't agree with them, stop using SVNL and close your account.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The courts of Queensland can hear disputes about them, and so can any other Australian court or tribunal that has jurisdiction.
If you have a problem with SVNL, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out.
15. Contact
Email support@svnlstudio.com.au for questions about these terms. Rule reports and appeals go through the SVNL Discord, as described in the Code of Conduct.
